1863 - The First Official Thanksgiving
New Hampshire Farm Museum, 1305 White Mountain Highway, Milton, NH
In 1863 Lincoln proclaimed the first national Thanksgiving Day in the midst of the Civil War. The New Hampshire Farm Museum recreates the experience as people enact the roles of the family members and what Thanksgiving at that time would have been.
