The town of Alton has opened an ice skating area at Mill Pond, across from the Alton Fire Department on Rt. 140. Look for the ice rink sign to make sure the rink is open.

 

Saturday, February 17th:

Lakes Region Ice Racing Club of Moultonborough will hold the Nostalgic Latchkey Cup Race on Meredith Bay.

From 10am-noon, Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center in Laconia will hold Snowshoe Adventures for ages 14 and up.

At noon, the New Durham Senior Citizen Lunch will be held at the Fire Station Community Room. Please call 603-859-2091 to RSVP.

 

Sunday, February 18th:

The Alton Winter Carnival will be held at the Bay from 10am-3pm, with many activities throughout the day. Those wishing to participate in Chowderfest may call 603-875-6111 for additional information. If you have a team that would like to compete in the bed race, please contact altonbusinessassociation1@gmail.com for registration information.

From 7:30-11am, The Masons of Winnipesaukee Lodge in Alton will host their monthly breakfast buffet at the Lodge on Rt. 28.

Skatefest Winter Beach Party, hosted by Center Harbor Community Development Association will be held at the skating rink and Center Harbor town beach with events throughout the day. Visit the Skatefest Facebook page for additional information on this event.

 

Monday, February 19th from 5:30pm-8pm, Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith will hold a "Hamilton" workshop. Call 603-279-0333 to pre-register.

 

Tuesday, Feburary 20th from 8:45 to 11:30am, Alton Community Church will hold an Employment Seminar. Call 603-875-5561 for additional information.

 

February 22nd, 23rd & 24th at 6pm, Prospect Mountain High School's Drama Club will present a murder mystery dinner "This Business of Murder". There will be no tickets sold at the door, so please purchase early. Visit www.pmhschool.com for ticket information.

 

Friday, February 23rd from 6-9pm, Hobbs Tavern in West Ossipee will host a Mystery Dinner event. Call 603-539-2000 to reserve tickets.

 

Saturday, February 24th at 5pm, the Boodey Farmstead ham and bean fundraiser dinner will be held at the Fire Station Community Room in New Durham. Please call 603-859-4643 for additional information.

 

Sunday, February 25th from 10am-4pm, The Powder Mill Snowmobile Club of New Durham will hold their Winter Carnival at Johnson's Market as well as a cookout at 69 Rt. 11 in New Durham.
