Newer homes don't generally require maintenance because everything about them is new and is expected to work and function properly. A new home appeals to homebuyers because they know they won't have to invest time or money into maintenance and repairs for quite a while. It's truly a luxury to not have to worry about a new roof or water heater for about 15 years at a time. It's much nicer to only worry about minimal maintenance tasks such as needing to change a light bulb.

Modern Amenities
Have you ever lived in a home without a dishwasher? If so, you can appreciate homes with modern amenities such as new dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. Other modern amenities in newer homes include master baths, workout rooms and home theaters with built in sound systems. These types of rooms simply weren't considered as room options when older homes were built.

Newer homes can feature an array of energy efficient features including solar panels, heated floors, heated garages, spray foam insulation and energy efficient appliances and windows.

The "New" Factor
There's nothing quite like something that's new. The feeling that you get when you get a new house perhaps supersedes the feeling that you get for all other things that are new. Houses are one of the biggest investments that a person will ever make and are they are meaningful places that will hold lifelong memories. Someone knowing that their memories will be the first in a home makes it all the more special. Another benefit of a new home is that it's clean and you can rest assured that there will be no lingering orders from previous owners.
